Catalyst used is manganese dioxide, it increases the speed of decomposition of H2O2.
Hydrogen peroxide → Water + oxygen
The method of collecting oxygen is downward displacement of water.
The reasons for collecting oxygen:
It is slightly soluble in water
It is as heavy as air.
