Why when preparing oxygen in the laboratory by using manganese (IV) oxide on hydrogen peroxide heat is not required ?​

    Catalyst used is manganese dioxide, it increases the speed of decomposition of H2O2.

    Hydrogen peroxide → Water + oxygen

    The method of collecting oxygen is downward displacement of water.

    The reasons for collecting oxygen:

    It is slightly soluble in water

    It is as heavy as air.
