  • Bonjour

    IS = auxiliaire  BE ==> (être) à la 3e personne du singulier

    HAS = verbe HAVE => (avoir) à la 3e personne singulier

    'S = génitif ==> marque la possession et remplace la forme "possédé + of + possesseur "(the house of my friend = my fiend's house)

    1- In Jim's bag, there's a red lunchbox.

    In the bag of Jim, there is a red lunchbox.

    Jim's bag = the bag de Jim > génitif . (deux noms avec une appartenance)

    there's = there is (tu dois connaître cette forme verbale '(l y a " there is there are)

    2- Her sister's make-up's on a shelf.

    The make-up of her sister is on the shelf.

    her sister's make-up = appartenance

    's on a shelf = is on a shelf

    3- Sam's 12; he's a football fan.

    Sam is 12; he is a football fan.

    tu dois savoir comment on dit l'âge. on ne dit pas j'ai 12 ans = I have 12 years. Mais je suis âgé de 12 ans = I am 12 years old.

    donc ici ==> Sam is 12 = Sam a 12 ans.

    he's a football fan => he is a football fan

    4- Ann's lost her watch; she's upset

    Ann has lost her watch; she is upset

    Ann has lost her watch => present perfect.

    Le's est suivi d'un participe passé , c'est donc un present perfect... (have/has + p. passé)

    she's upset => expression "to be upset = être contrarié"

    5- Jane's got posters on her walls; it's cool.

    Jane has got posters on her walls; it is cool.

    Jane has got = to have got => avoir, posséder..

    it is cool...

    6- He's found an old photo of his dad.

    He has found

    present perfect => have / has + participe passé

    7- Dan's ro's a bit untidy.

    je pense qu'il manque qq chose mais  c'est >
    the "ro?" of Dan => génitif appartenance... is a bit untidy.

    8- It's my mum's birthday; she's 37.

    It is the birthday of my mum; she is 37.

    it's = it is... ça peut pas être autre chose

    my mum's birthday = the birthday of my mum > génitif

    she is 37 => l'âge  voir phrase 3
